If you’re familiar with the rise and fall of Beautiful Books, you’ll know how much it means to me to see my first two novels back on sale – as brand new print editions and enhanced eBooks, updated and with additional content.
Almost more exciting (though it really shouldn’t be!) is the new art for the jackets. And here they are – Garbage Man & MEAT:
It’s a tricky thing to a get a book cover right but Oak Tree Press – the brand new Andrews UK imprint – have nailed the designs, breathing new life into both titles.
Publication date for both books is 28th October 2013, so expect a launch event somewhere fun around Halloween.
In the meantime, a huge thank you to Brie Burkeman for finding a new home for these titles and the same to everyone at Oak Tree Press for all their hard work.
I’m absolutely delighted with the results!
(Incidentally, if you can’t wait until October why not check out some of my other titles…)
Two very nice covers for two very nice books. Well, not ‘nice’ books exactly. Two great books.
Thanks, Luke – I’m so glad you like them!
I hope everyone else will too!
Is that a stun gun he’s carrying?
Approximation of, yes.
Would you mind if I posted your cover reveal on my blog? I loved meat. Garbage man is on my tbr list! I will , of course link back to your blog
I’d be delighted if you would – thank you!
Glad you enjoyed MEAT and hope Garbage Man satisfies too…
Do let me know!
Cover reveal is up 🙂
Fab – thank you very much!
That’s beautiful! When will it be available for preorder?
And will they make audiobooks as well?
Thanks, Aleksandra!
Not certain about preorders yet, however, the audio versions will be presented by AudioGo. We’re just picking the narrators at the moment!
Oh, that’s great! I love audiobooks and I really liked Simon Vance’s narration of the “Black Feathers”. I’m looking forward to hear these books too!
Awesome covers! 🙂
Thanks, man! I love them too, especially Garbage Man.
I’m sure I can get you an eARC of the new edition of GM, if you’d like one, BTW.
Would be seriously cool, thank you – and please! 🙂
I think AUK’s publicist will be in touch soon, Dave…
Hiya, I tried to post to your blog earlier on, but I’m not sure if it registered.
Many apologies for a very direct approach, but I didn’t want to go through AudioGo and risk confusion.
If possible, please could you contact me, I have some questions about Meat and Garbage Man.
Best regards
David
Hi, David.
Delighted you’ve been in touch. I’ll contact you shortly…
All the best,
Joseph
