Give-away January!

I’m delighted to announce that all my proposed Goodreads give-aways have been approved.

This means that from the 11th to 24th of January I will be giving away six different titles, totalling 42 books! So entering means there’s a very good chance of winning something.

(Please remember it’s a UK only competition, otherwise the postage would bankrupt me!)

All copies will be signed and some of them will be rare, out-of-print first editions.

Clown Wars Blood and Aspic
Garbage Manblackfeathers

Blood Fugue
Splinters

MEAT

Remember – kick-off is midnight on Wednesday 11th January and there are six separate competitions to enter.

Good luck!

  1. Thanks for taking the trouble to say so, Joseph – delighted to hear such positive feedback. Did you read them recently or a while ago?

Either way, I hope there’ll be many happy winners once the give-aways are complete!

    • Blood Fugue a while ago. Picked up MEAT on Kobo end of last year. I have a sort of mental list of authors to watch for and you made mine with Blood Fugue.

  2. I have loved reading Meat as much as a vegetarian can possibly enjoy such a reading. I have also loved reading Blood and Aspic as much as a clown phobiac can possibly enjoy such a reading. I believe your writing make awful things sound very enjoyable 🙂

    • Hi, Chris!

I’m glad to get your good vibes – especially as Blood & Aspic was such a hard sell that we had to do it ourselves in the end. Maybe in the future, some brave editor will see the same merit in it as you did and run with it so that it can reach a wider audience.

As to making awful things enjoyable, that really is the point – particularly in horror. The subject matter/theme can be anything but the story is king every time. So, no matter what genre an idea belongs in, I’ll always endeavour to make an engaging read of it.
